My channel is dedicated to the Challenger / Charger R/T (RT) 5.7 liter HEMI, though we touch on the 6.4 (392, Scat Pack, and Daytona) and Hellcat (both base and Redeye trims), continually adding modifications to get the most out of it. I currently own a cammed Challenger RT 5.7 Hemi. I try to bring content that is not only informative but hopefully entertaining. I do not want others making the same mistakes I did and hopefully save you some money in the end. I am dedicated to taking my 5.7 liter Hemi in its stock form as fast as it will possibly allow me. My current list of modifications is extensive but there is plenty more to come. If you are modifying your 5.7 Hemi, this is the channel to watch. I provide unbiased, I have no ties to any business or sponsors, opinion on options that I have purchased or have done extensive research on. Sit back, relax and enjoy the video.
This is a build for the ages. From a quick experience, this thing is RIDICULOUS! Talking about putting you in the seat, this thing will sure do it. I want to thank Mike for letting me do the interview on Hellbee and taking me for a ride!
It’s always a pleasure, the car is just that but the people you meet along the way are what make it even more fun and exciting 💪
He should rename it to hellhornet , it flows better
This is 🔥🔥🔥 great content ‼️

Great Video! Very Informative
Thanks brother! Wait till you see it at the track!
My 2021 Shaker Widebody Scat is in Lenexa, Ks right now getting a pro-charger and will get forged rods and pistons when it returns along with mmx max effort cam and few other upgrades. I’m anxious to see the results, but I will for sure be looking into the thermostatic bypass valve. Thanks for the info and a look at that badass ride
I think you're going to be really happy! I love the ProCharger and Mike's car is a BEAST! 💪💪💪
How'd it turn out?
She runs good!
She is a ripper for sure!
Very nice. Love education. Good info. Good video.

That sounds insane
It's even more insane now. Update video coming soon.
Incredible build motivation good video 🔥👍
Thanks brother. Gives you something to look forward to doing to your Scat 😈
Very impressive build, apparently well thought out and put together so that all of the modifications work together and support each other. Well done.
Mike definitely thought this one through! Everything supports each other for one incredible build.
Planning is the biggest key , and then the execution of the plan , always spend the extra time on making everything as clean as possible, also always plan for a minimum of 500 bucks in miscellaneous items
Nice feature. I run the Hellraiser trans bypass valve too but they're also made by RevMax for anyone interested
Thanks brother! The bypass is on the list but the list keeps growing 😈
That was a fun ride I cant wait till the tracks open back up to see his first pass!

That's one nasty ride man! Definitely gonna look into getting that thermostatic by pass valve once I get the cam in my car.
I still have to get one as well. They really keep the trans temps down considerably.
Yeah definitely a must when building these cars. Waiting on my HRT stage 3 comp cam kit and adding a circle D torque converter with a 3600 stall

what time did he run when he was at the 740 wheel like he said in this video. i no he runs 9.0s now but was just wondering.
To be honest I don't really remember at this point. Hopefully he sees this and answers. 😉
10.40s at the 740 whp , then jumped to 930whp on e85 same year this is when I went 9.9s 4/2021 , hurt the stock hp70 , then broke the built 70 and moved to the built 90 went 9.9s , then that October swapped the P1x to the f1a94 same psi 14 , went 9.64 with the intercooler maxed that’s how season 2021 ended , 22 air to water was on the changed March 9.3 and by late may 9.00s and we’ll the hurt 90 , this year goal 8.50 class with many changes
💪🏼
Thanks brother! I appreciate the support and look forward to seeing your SICK builds!
WBMM is a solid dude from day one. Very knowledgeable along with the fact he’s not a typical RUclipsr with an inflated ego. I can’t wait to link up with him next season to test out both of our new builds 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 it’s going to be a fun season.
Hell yeah I can’t wait , I’m over here counting down for 3/7 and hoping for great weather and for everyone to bust out some new pbs 🤘🤘🤘
Shoot yeah brother! Mike is one cool and very knowledgeable cat! Definitely can't wait to hit the track with him and the entire MIR crew!
i heard those sniper intakes are loud and you hear everything inside the motor but they look good i want one
The do flow pretty well as they are made for boosted applications. I didn't really notice a lot of noise other than the BOV. LOL...
@Widebody_moparmike Why did you choose to go with the HOLLEY SNIPER RACE SERIES INTAKE MANIFOLD and not the full HOLLEY HEMI HI-RAM EFI INTAKE MANIFOLD?? Based off what I was reading on the Holley website, the Hi-Ram intake seems to be more suited to handle the forced induction route. Just curious on what your overall opinion was.
Not trying to speak for Mike but I believe the High Ram doesn't fit under the hood and you have make a cutout for it to fit.
@@ModernRedHemi Thank you. That makes sense, I didn’t even think about that.
she was tryin to get off that dyno
For sure! 💪💪💪
Is the holley sniper intake mandifold better than the stock 392 mandifold even if its ported ?
That's a great question. I haven't seen anyone do a comparison of the two but the Sniper shines on boosted applications more than NA ones (states it in the description). I love my ported 392 intake manifold but it's only going to take so much boost being plastic. 💪💪💪
@@ModernRedHemi ok gotcha i would like to put the sniper even if its NA it looks badass!!
Do the Hellcat swap for the trans. The 400 limits you to 3 speeds. Great for 1/4 mile but takes street off the books
He’s going all out race car and a 400. 😉
Demonology had a T400 installed in his Demon.

Sad to say but so true brother. The sport is hanging on by a thread already. 💪
Knockout360 said it and I’m down here now lol
For sure!
Dragy. I finally got one.
And roads I thought were pretty flat are not as flat as I thought and the slightest grades will bump up your time.
SO to make it all valid you should use a Dragy. Or some device that shows the grade.
Dragy allows up to 1.75% grade.
I can still get my 3.9.
But There would be A LOT of time corrections if everyone used a Dragy.
Dragy's are a nice little addition to anyone's game. They are extremely close to track times.
Any updates on the tranny situation and what he’s using now ?
He broke 3 or 4 HP70's and then moved to a built HP90 and broke that several times. He is going TH400 (Rossler or ATI I think) and full on Holley EFI system so he can pretty much get rid of the stock PCM (still needs it for a few systems). 💪💪💪
Yup what don said , broke the built hp70 in 3 passes last may , e drum didn’t like the life , had a hp90 built with the billet e drum and demon converter lasted close to 9 months (total time ) of course we don’t race from December to March ) trans tapped out on the 15th 9.00 pass back in late may , hoped the refresh fixed the issue unfortunately still had issues but even hurt it still managed 9.3 passes with it slipping , respect to the builder as he stood behind it and will I’m currently awaiting my th400 , so hopefully back at it before the season ends as these long wait times on parts are killer
What are the heads? Stock ported?
Aftermarket?
Hellcat?
Stock. Nothing done to them 😉
Thanks brother!
Is it ok to do high compression 426 and low boost on 6.4 hemi
I am not an engine builder or mechanic. I would ask someone like High Horse Performance or Modern Muscle Extreme as they have built these types of set ups for years. 😉
Sorry if I missed it but what are the specs on the torque converter?
I believe it's in the 3200-3400 range.💪💪💪
@@ModernRedHemi thanks for the info. I have a similar setup I'm building and the torque converter is pretty much the last piece. I didn't want to go too high on the stall since it's a daily driver and it doesn't see the track, just the street. I was aiming for 2600-2800 stall. Looks like I may bump it up to at least 3000.
Down here in Mexico... 😄 🤣
Gotta love that old Mexico!
Why do so many do full builds and not go to an aftermarket Holley computer? You can integrate it into the factory system and guages and ignition will work like factory. Spend $40-50k and worry about $3500-5000. Makes no semse
Well, he is going that route now. Going to do another update (there was 2 after this one) to what the plans are for the future. Yes, Holley is one of them. 😉
Actually Holley is 1800 then the 12” screen another 2k , but why jump to the stand alone ? The factory pcm can handle every bit of what we do , not saying Holley isn’t worth it but for the money can be more into the build to go faster. Issues at hand would the weak point of the a8 transmissions even built (yup I said it) as for cost total into the build still not quite 40k including doing a th400 swap (not a junkyard one either ) straight up from rossler …. Spoiler alert lol stay tuned as I will push the car on the stock pcm another season.
Ask your friend that he had a scatpack faster than a hellcat redeye how much the transmission of srt can go on whp ??
It's really more about torque than whp. The HP70p can take around 650-700 lb/ft of torque before you start getting slippage. 😉
People with clams between their le- I mean Tesla owners are probably so mad you called it ludicrous
LOL... his car is crazy that's for sure!
Wow now that’s a sick azz build!
I’m extremely curious if he had some advice on a N/A build and what’s the best route to go for best gains on our 6.4l? I just want a little more get up in my Scatpack that’s a daily driver 👍🏾👍🏾
It sure is and it's even more sick now! I gotta do an update on his car. Your best bet would be some easy bolt ons and a custom tune (93 or 91 octane). If you want to go a little further you could get forced induction and keep it on low boost (less than 8lbs) with a dyno tune would be my suggestions.💪💪💪
Nitrous
How much and how long did it take for the build ?
Hopefully Mike will reply as well but I think he spent just over $20k in parts and did all the labor himself. So if you need labor probably double that at a minimum.
Little over 20k total all mods all the way down to 2 sets of drag wheels , mind you wasn’t all bought or done at once, first was just the procharger and longtubes and awe catback ran that all race season at 10.8s/10.9s , decided I wanted more so I replaced the pistons/rods , deleted the mds completely, blower cam , Holley sniper intake manifold, fore fuel system etc , I did everything including the pistons and rods. Time wise literally 2 weeks once everyone part was in. Couple days of data logging and break in miles and then hit the Dyno. I have a lot of the pictures up on my ig
@@widebody_moparmike how does the awe catback exhaust sound im looking to buy a new exhaust for my scatpack but im stuck between the borla atak or awe?
@@alexander_3923 well the track edition is super loud with catless , the touring is the more tame version but it’s just a matter of swapping the back section as awe offers this for those that want either louder or quieter. Also the exhaust valves are truly deleted from the exhaust piping unlike the other brands and awe is the only one that is true 3”
From the cats all the way back
@@widebody_moparmike gotcha also whats the best way to lower a scatpack challenger? Im thinking about lowering mine but i dont if i should get lowering spring or coilover i also want 275 tire and 305 rear
what is your transmission setup
Stock 8HP70
buying a scat pack and have more money to invest into car. how much more or less to get this build?
More than a hellcat
He has about 20k+ in parts and did the labor himself. If you have to pay for labor, unless you or have friends that can do it, you can pretty much double that.
@@williamrose7818 depends on how you look at it , if you don’t have to pay a shop to do the work it’s less than a Hellcat redeye (and I used the redeye as stock they make 717 wheel horsepower at 14psi vs my car 740 whp at 10psi on pump93 ) now a stock Hellcat makes 630ish, so with just the procharger I made 620 whp and ran the same times as a stock kitty and the car/procharger was still cheaper than a kitty new to new. But again it’s really preference bought or built
I’m just saying the cost of buying a scat pack because I own one and then add in $20,000 in work that’s minus the labor put you right at the cost of a widebody hellcat is all I’m saying.. badass scat though
hey what pillar pods did you get?
I’m my set up I’m using the gauge pod that goes where the sunglass holder is , speedlogic sells it.
@@widebody_moparmike oh i saw yours that’s sick too but i was kinda referring to shakenbake, i like speedlogics too but didn’t realize how pricey it gets 🙃😂 exploring all options
@@widebody_moparmike nice ride btw
I got a generic 2 pod pillar off Amazon. They are pretty cheap but don't quite fit perfectly, even when you squeeze it on. Speedlogix also has a 2 pod pillar that replaces the stock one but is a little pricey.
@@ModernRedHemi yeah i noticed, and yeah kinda just needed something to hold me over until i feel like grabbing one, still in the process of trying to get quicker not so much pretty lol
What does it run it the quarter?
Back then low 10s on the 8HP70. Now he has more upgrades and runs 10.6s (8HP90 + some others). Shooting for 9s next season. 💪💪💪
Damn man what you all do for a living lol. That guy has over 15 grand in mods
Might want to near double that with every single mod done on the car and multiple sets of drag wheels
He has spent quite a bit more than that. Luckily he did the work himself or it would be a WHOLE lot more.
@@widebody_moparmikeWorth every penny. Great build you have sir..👍
@@Shanbo thank you , definitely worth the smiles it brings until the gas gauge hits E lol
Charge it to the game.
Live ass build
I now right? You need to see the updated video I posted about a week or so ago. A lot more has been done and she's a heck of a lot faster. 💪💪💪
Just seems like a lot of scratch for that power when you can get a hellcat and do only a few mods and be to 1k HP or so
I see both sides of the fence but I like building mine vice buying it. 😉
@@ModernRedHeminot that I wouldn’t do a full build myself but the dough it costs to get there is just too much in my mind, I’d be good with a supercharger and leaving it at 5-7psi and throwing some sticky’s on it, or trading up for a hellcat just simply for the reliability of the 6.2 being built for the supercharger already! Just worried more about the ticking time bomb of a SC 6.4.
@@bobsaget3044 believe it or not cost of the car and all mods still cheaper than buying a new redeye (gotta compare new to new as I bought the scat new ) so find a brand new redeye for less than 80k running 9.2s.
@@widebody_moparmike thats what’s stressing me lol everyone says just get a hellcat instead of boosting a 392 so im not sure now also i want to know how much it cost to build the engine with forged internals
And it would be quicker without the wickerbill and splitter.
He takes off the wickerbill at the track. I think he said he picked up a couple MPH on the big end.
The spiltter doesn’t hurt , but the wicker bill after many tests I gain 5mph and went from 11.2s straight to 10.8/10.9s all in the same weekend last season.
This the car that made my ears bleed 🤣
Yup. This is the one. 🙉
@@ModernRedHemi never standing behind that thing again in life hahaha
😂🤣
Not really I no a lot of cars old an new9s no cage
Once you get into the 9s, you have to have a cage or they will stop you from running at the track. 😉
He should just trade in his blower and upgrade to a d1x or f194a and go for his 1000 with that. Nitrous on boost is hard on the engine and very troublesome and easy to go lean , and or blow up the engine.
Nitrous is only hard if you don’t know what your doing , timing is pulled in a nos tune for one , I could hit 900 on boost only with the P1x issue at hand is the 8hp70 and 90s are a weak link , we left it at 10psi so I could still street the car until I swap a th400 in and then back on the Dyno to turn up, next season will be the F1 along with a custom intercooler as the race one is only rated for 1k hp.
@@widebody_moparmike that’s what I would do nitrous is cool and makes a bunch of tq it’s just one more thing that can go wrong and to
Worry about is all when you can make all the power you want with a good race blower. I have a Ysi on my car it left me a lot of room to grow. The f1x I would stay away from unless your going 1300 whp + if you want 1000-1200 the f194a will be the best option from Procharger because it makes way more tq and midrange and is more efficient at that range. The f1x is very laggy and doesn’t come on till 5k and up but has the most top end.
Thanks for jumping in Mike. Didn't want to speak for you.
Nice build, I have something very similar, if anyone wants to know hit me up
